Huge numbers of people across 20 states and union territories will cast their votes in 91 constituencies within the India elections.

The seven-phase election to elect a brand new lower house of parliament continues until 19 May. Counting day is 23 May.

Shyam Saran Negi is 102 and resides in Kapal, deep within the Himalayas bordering China.

He’s been voting because the first election in the united states in 1951.
