Gavin Williamson: Defence Secretary sacked over leak – BBC News

Britain’s Pm has sacked her Defence Secretary Gavin Williamson, accusing him of dripping information from the meeting from the National Security Council a week ago. Theresa May stated inside a letter to Mr Williamson that they had ‘compelling evidence’ he was accountable for the leak, which she’d ‘lost confidence in the capability to serve’.

An inquiry in to the leak premiered following a national newspaper printed information on secret discussions concerning the Chinese firm Huawei’s participation in the introduction of britain’s 5G mobile network .

Mr Williamson, that has denied he leaked the data, continues to be substituted with the Worldwide Development Secretary, Cent Mordaunt.
