Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Saturday visited the Disaster Management Control Room in Chennai and reviewed the arrangements and precautionary measures taken by the state government in the wake of Cyclone Fengal.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for heavy rain in several parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry as Cyclonic storm ‘Fengal’ over the Bay of Bengal is expected to make landfall on Saturday afternoon, close to the coastal lines of Puducherry.
Chennai & several other districts in Tamil Nadu, like Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Kallakurichi, face heavy rainfall & waterlogging due to Cyclone Fengal. Flights connecting Chennai have been impacted due to the adverse weather. The cyclone is expected to make landfall in the evening of Nov 30. #WATCH
