A gunman live-streamed footage of his rampage to Facebook, filmed having a mind-mounted camera. The footage demonstrated him firing indiscriminately at men, ladies and children from close range within the Al-Noor mosque.

Police known as around the public to not share the “very distressing” footage online. Facebook stated it’d removed the gunman’s Facebook and Instagram accounts and it was trying to remove any copies from the footage.

The suspect who had been billed made an appearance to possess printed a manifesto prior to the attack outlining his intentions, by which he identified themself like a 28-year-old Australian citizen and espoused far right and anti-immigrant ideology.

Australian Pm Scott Morrison described the person being an “extremist, right-wing” terrorist. Police Commissioner Plant confirmed the man wasn’t known ahead of time either to Nz or Australian security services.
