When voters in England go to the polls on May 7th, more than a third of the councillors up for re-election will be in London.

The capital has long been a nailed-on Labour stronghold, but as our senior political correspondent Paul McNamara reports, that could be about to change.

And if the pollsters are right, that could have ramifications for politics across the country.
