NIgel Farage’s party has reportedly overtaken the Conservatives’ membership figures for the first time.

A digital counter on the Reform website showed a membership tally before lunchtime on Boxing Day ticking past the 131,680 figure declared by the Conservative Party during its leadership election earlier this year.

But Tory Party leader Kemi Badenoch is disputing the credibility of the counter – saying it increases automatically.

Mr Farage has accused Ms Badenoch of being “bitter” after she claimed the membership figures are fake.

Deputy leader Richard Tice told LBC her reaction was “hysterical” and that she will need to eventually apologise.
