The US and UK have urged caution over Russia’s promise of peace talks to ‘drastically reduce’ combat operations in two key areas.

But while the talks continue, so does the bombardment. At least 12 people were killed after a Russian rocket hit an office in the port of Mykolaiv and fierce fighting has continued in Mariupol.

Irpin is a suburb of the capital Kyiv – and it’s fate remains unclear, despite claims by Ukraine that it had retaken control.
