Schools need to be given an energy price cap and they need it now – that’s the call from headteachers across the country. Back in May Labour released a report calling for the government to act as it warned that schools could face extra £1 million a year in energy bills. Meanwhile the government has warned schools in England not to send children home to save on energy costs this winter. But with the start of the school term just 2 weeks away schools want action now.
