UK police officers in Henry Nowak murder case investigated for gross misconduct

Two police officers who attended the scene of Henry Nowak’s murder in the UK are being investigated for gross misconduct.

The officers failed to give the victim, Mr Nowak, first aid when he told them he had been stabbed, instead placing him in handcuffs.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) revealed they’re considering whether the actions of the officers constituted a potential failure to give Mr Nowak immediate medical attention when he needed it.

The IOPC is also investigating the decision to handcuff Mr Nowak as he lay on the floor.
