The UK is bracing for a stormy 48 hours as Storm Boelo moves in just 24 hours after Storm Austen, with risk of further travel disruption, localised flooding and difficult conditions.

Storm Boelo is expected to affect northern parts of the UK, reaching north-west Scotland on Saturday evening before continuing to track eastwards overnight into Sunday.

Unlike Storm Austen, Boelo is forecast to move more slowly, potentially prolonging periods of severe weather and impacting a wider area of northern Britain and Northern Ireland.
