Notre-Dame cathedral fire: Vast sums of euros happen to be promised to assist rebuild Notre-Dame following a devastating fire partly destroyed in france they cathedral.

The fireplace, declared fully extinguished some 15 hrs after it started, ravaged the 850-year-old building’s roof and caused its spire to break down.

But firefighters who labored during the night were able to save the Paris landmark’s primary stone structure, including its two towers.

The reason for the fireplace isn’t yet obvious.

Paris public prosecutor Rémy Heitz stated his office was “favouring the idea of the accident”, but had assigned 50 individuals to focus on what he believed will be a “lengthy” and “complex” analysis.

Other officials have recommended it may be associated with extensive renovation works happening in the cathedral.
