A fireplace has damaged out in the famous Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris and it has spread quickly over the building.

The reason isn’t yet obvious, but officials say that could be associated with renovation work.

A significant operation to tackle the blaze is arrived in the 850-year-old Medieval building, however the cathedral’s spire and roof have collapsed.

This past year, the Catholic Church in France appealed for funds in order to save your building, that was crumbling.

French President Emmanuel Macron, who’s on his method to the scene, stated his ideas were with “all Catholics and all sorts of French people.”
