Police in New Mexico arrested two suspects after a mass shooting took place. Three people are dead and 15 others were left injured.

Officials say two of the deceased were 19 years old and one was as young as 16 years old. Las Cruces Police Chief Jeremy Story told reporters that there was an unsanctioned car show in Young Park prior to the shooting taking place.

“The investigation so far reveals that there was an altercation between two groups of people and that altercation escalated to gunfire between both groups,” Story added.
