MPs reject Theresa May’s EU withdrawal agreement by 344 votes to 286, most 58, tossing UK’s Brexit plans into more confusion.

Mrs May stated the election might have “grave” implications and also the “legal default” could be that the United kingdom could leave on 12 April.

That meant there wouldn’t be lots of time to get legislation right through to avoid a no-deal Brexit, she stated.

Answering the election, European Council President Jesse Tusk tweeted: “Cellular the rejection from the Withdrawal Agreement by home of Commons, I’ve made the decision to a eu Council on 10 April.”

Caused by the election means the United kingdom has missed an EU deadline to secure extra time from the Brexit process and then leave having a deal on 22 May.
