Theresa May designed a statement following the defeat within the Commons.

She states she “profoundly regrets” MPs decision.

She informs MPs that they has personally wrestled using the issue but states she’s mindful of the “potential damage” departing the EU with no deal would do.

She states she’ll urge the Commons to election against a no-deal Brexit.
