Voting has finished in the Makerfield by-election – stick with Sky News all night for all the latest from the count!

The vote in the Greater Manchester seat was triggered by the resignation of Labour’s Josh Simons on 18 May.

There are around 76,000 eligible voters across the constituency who can have their say in deciding their next MP.
