The footage showed migrants walking past police, swimming with crutches, and women and children being left behind. The UK has spent £662 million on French security measures, but the police are ineffective. Isabel Oakeshott blasted Keir Starmer over a lack of action, suggesting the need for stronger measures like using the navy to stop boats and detaining migrants upon arrival.
