Mr Trump and Japanese Pm Shinzo Abe met on Monday in the Akasaka Palace.

Trump referenced North Korea’s recent nuclear activity in front of a gathering afterwards Monday using the groups of Japanese citizens who have been kidnapped by North Korea decades ago, to coach North Korean spies in Japanese language and customs.

North Korea has accepted kidnapping 13 Japanese citizens within the 1970s and 80s, and came back five to Japan in 2002. It maintains the remainder are dead – something Japan doesn’t believe.
