Three more patients from England have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the number of confirmed UK cases to 23.
The new cases are from Gloucestershire, Hertfordshire and Berkshire, Chief Medical Officer Professor Chris Whitty said.
Prof Whitty said two of the patients had recently returned from Italy – the worst-hit European country – and the other one from Asia, where the virus originated.
Any individuals who had contact with the patients are now being traced.
