A minimum of 137 individuals have been wiped out and hundreds more hurt in explosions at places of worship and hotels in Sri Lanka, police and hospital sources say.
A minimum of seven blasts were reported. Three places of worship in Negombo, Batticaloa and Colombo’s Kochchikade district were targeted during Easter time services.
The Shangri-La, Kingsbury, Cinnamon Grand along with a 4th hotel, all in Colombo, were also hit.
A curfew continues to be enforced from 18:00 to 06:00 local time (12:30-00:30 GMT).
The federal government also stated there’d a brief block on using major social networking systems.
No group has yet stated it had been accountable for the attacks.
