Overnight the rain will persist, with the risk of thunderstorms moving out to the east of England as the evening progresses. Generally, showers are easing over England and Wales. Elsewhere, in western Scotland a band of heavy rain will push north-eastwards, with the heaviest spells over the western hills. Mostly a mild night, with some patchy showers and temperatures in the mid-teens.
