Rain and some stronger winds have affected northern parts of the country through the morning. Throughout the afternoon, this will push into the North Sea, although western Scotland and Northern Ireland will hold on to spells of rain. Further south, high pressure remains in control, bringing largely dry conditions with plenty of sunshine. A warm southerly airflow will allow temperatures to reach the high twenties across parts of southeast England.
