A wet start to the summer season, with showers tracking eastwards, persisting over much of the UK this evening. Some heavy and possibly thundery showers across southwest England overnight. These heavy showers track north-eastwards towards eastern Scotland by the early hours of the morning. This is the Met Office UK weather forecast for the evening of 01/06/2026.
